Share The Sun, Fun, and FOOD!

What I wore:  The dress is from Foreign Exchange. It has a low cut out back so to be appropriate to where I was going, I threw on a light button shirt from Forever21. The accessories are also from Forever21 EXCEPT the necklace, that is from Target! Beautiful huh?

What I did: The Ms. Independent MeetUp group I am a part of did a Cuisine Crawl.
We flavored dishes from 3 different restaurants in Houston and had mini pies from a local bakery. The first stop was Haven, a very upscale shindig. Some of the ladies and I could not get over the dinner rolls sprinkled with sea salt.  The second place was called Saint Genevieve, another upscale place that has amazing mac and cheese with bacon! The last restaurant stop was a Thai place, Vieng Thai (Google+)! I was ecstatic! As soon as we walked in the food was already on the table waiting for us...pad Thai , fried catfish (in a spicy sauce), white rice, fried rice, spring rolls, and a chicken curry. YUM!

All Business + Introvert

I could not begin to tell you anything about this look...it's a black dress paired with a stripped blazer.
I do not recall where I got anything of these items from.  Sorry.

MY THOUGHTS

Introvert

Do you ever hear people say this about themselves?
There's nothing wrong with enjoying personal time by yourself, but if that is the only time you experience happiness...well, that kind of raises red flags, no?  Let's think on this, it is natural to interact with one another.  Sometimes we feed off people energies and words of advice or criticism from those we associate with, but for someone to claim they rather have little to no association with the outside world can be categorized as 'peculiar'.  As in, not what's wrong with the world...because we all know the world is ahem...f**ked up!...but, what's wrong with YOU that you cannot find enjoyment in being around people or why is it that people do not want to be acquainted with you?

Now, I know some people are shy and socially awkward but, why would one not want to part take in the vast diversity the world offers when it comes to us crazy humans?  I enjoy my me time but, I also love catching up with friends and meeting new people, and many of my good friends are NOTHING like me, that is the beauty of it.  So all you "loners" need to get out and make some friends!  Otherwise you become this dark, meager, lack-luster person who people worry about or stray away from...we don't want that now do we?

Work + No Excuses

Everyday isn't a thrill. Everyday isn't a dud. Yet, everyday is a chance to improve. Work doesn't necessarily mean going to the office and staring at a computer screen for 8 hours, it's more so the process of proving the importance of you to the world. We all have a reason for our reasons.
Let your reason be something to be proud of.

*Sidebar: How dope is my watch!

MY THOUGHTS

No Excuses

"Let's not blame others for our bad decisions
and let's not hold others responsible for our poor judgement."

Every day we have a choice to be better, everyday we have a chance to do something new, everyday we can make a change in ourselves.
Don't make excuses why you can't, make lasting experiences while you can!

Everyday I make it a point to improve.
Improve my vocabulary.
Improve my business sense.
Improve my sensitivity.
Improve my support.
Improve my work ethics.
Improve my communication.
Improve my listening.

The list can go on......because I am NOT perfect.

I accept my imperfections but, I also accept that some of those imperfections can be polished.
